    Offering clips and stills ala carte

    I'm thinking of offering my clips and still sets ala carte, at maybe $1.95 per still set and video clips. (clips are about 10 min. or so, softcore girl site--different girls --what the term for this site!)

    This would relieve pressure of having to provide content on relentless weekly basis. (all my content is original and created by hand by me- photos and video)

    Of course I would lose the monthy memberships (but could maybe add that on too down the road)

    I've seen this model on a few forgeign sites, not too much in US.

    Love to hear any opinions on this.

          Create a test store on www.clips4sale.com and see how many sales you get. If that store is profitable, you can link to it from your website. If the clip store becomes more profitable than the main website, then you can get rid of the memberships entirely.

              Why on earth would you EVER get rid of a membership site that was making money? It doesn't matter if you are making more selling clips...it's extra money and should NEVER be shut down.

              There are people who pay more each month watching PPV movies from specific sites even though they could see it all cheaper with a monthly subscription. On the flip side, there are people who only want to buy monthly and not clips.

              The more options you can offer the member/surfer, the better chance of you diversifying your income.

                  Arron, I am thinking of offering both. ala carte and then later monthy.

                  This idea came from fact that it's such forturne to produce orgininal content each week, that I did not want pressure to guantee a new scene each week as I'm starting out -- as most monthly memberships do. (it's the talent fee and editing are real bitch)

                          my only worry on the monthly, is that I don't know how often I can or want to add new scenes.
