Turns out it was the phone. The new iPhone 4s has some issues with password management on certain brands of routers. It would say it was logged onto my wireless but it really wasn't. I had to strip down my router to the bare bounds, reinstall updated firmware, and then reset each computer and wireless device to accept the new settings.
