        I will be contacting Eric, to ask him to do some spot checking. If he sees a lot of votes going to the same sponsor from nicks created in the last couple days then that companies vote count will be reset to zero, if it happens again they will be deleted.

        If you have 20 votes and 15 are from new nicks just made, there is no excuse for that.

                        topbucks may have 5k affiliates, but that doesn't mean that they will get 300 votes here

Pete did ICQ people we've worked with in the past and make them aware of the thread and if they like our program we would hope they would vote for us. in the long run I'm sure things will even out but we felt we should campaign for ourselves just like we would for an Xbiz or any other award.

                                                                                                                        not trying to piss on anyone's cornflakes, but in that list I just see programs I heard of for the 1st time today, programs I thought were dead or almost and the lack or REALLY POPULAR programs with thousands and thousands of affiliates. I don't know, not seeing "little boys" like Twisty's, Vivid, ARS, Reality Cash, PrivateCash, Meatcash, Traffic Cash Gold just to name a few makes me think that whatever the output, it makes no sense anyway.

                                                                                                                        From that list, I'd vote for 3 of those programs in no particular order, but I really don't get the criteria to vote. I mean, TCG, Twistys and ARS are 10x more popular than most on that list

                                                                                                                        In short: IMHO, good idea, wrong system. Maybe you should try a "program's owners only" poll or something like that. You'll risk the "bro factor", but it will be way more accurate than this. The lack of the mentioned programs (between others) proves it

Some companies are new and some are old, some you agree with some you don't. Thats why there are 20 there, i am sure there is one on the list that you really like, vote for that one.

                                                                                                                            A program owners poll with only programers owners voting on each other's programs doesn't sound like a good a idea to me, and it would be impossible to restict the voting to a select few anyway.

All we did was hit Pete's ICQ list about the poll and hope that people that we do biz with would vote for us. that's campaigning not cheating.

                                                                                                                                                                                                thats the problem, my issue is not with your program or with the techniques you used to win this poll, it's with will's naivity who believes his series of polls on GFY will be able to determine the most popular adult affiliate program... while for reasons brought up by me and by others, it won't be the case

Polish knows everything and has it all figured out and opted to be my spokesman. Nothing left for me to do here except ask Polish for advice on everything I do in the future.
