HomeDepot is out of Control

They have cameras all over the store ... but they thing that pissed me off was a camera 1 foot from my face at the cashier , Recording all facial expressions and shit. I asked the women why the hell they were recording people at the register and she practically started yelling at me and saying that they need the camera there for loss prevention .... I then went on and asked her what he job was if should could not even manage here cashier space ..

I don't like being recorded so thoroughly , They could literally use face recognition software .

I may just be ranting but this is a move that pretty much states they consider everyone to be a criminal .

Loss prevention is huge, and the amount of money lost each year to employee theft is staggering.

Years ago my wife managed a Ross department store, and one Christmas season they noticed that theft was way up. They staked out the store and discovered that two employees were throwing away entire boxes of brand new clothes every night - It was easier for them to just drop them in the garbage than it was to put them out on the floor. Every night they dropped thousands of dollars worth of clothes directly into the garbage.

I have a friend that worked a Universal studios in California. He showed me hidden cameras around the front ticket gates hooked to a biometric system. If you buy a year pass you have to show ID. Then you give a fingerprint at the front gate as your face is photographed/scanned. All the information goes to Homeland Security.

7:15 AM go up into loft to watch customers.
7:20 AM find first customer stealing.
7:30 AM apprehend customer as she leaves the store with unpaid items.

(Customer is an elderly lady on fixed income. She stole 2 hams, rolls, toothpaste, various items total of $86. Paid for $12 worth of stuff. She has $100 bill on her and we use that to pay for her "forgotten" stuff)

7:50 AM back into the loft
7:55 Follow another customer
8:05 AM catch 3 teenage girls leaving store with items.

(Three girls ranging in age from 13 to 14. Stole mainly makeup and candy. Total cost $42.85. Call parents.)

8:30 AM back into the loft
8:45 AM follow another customer
8:55 AM catch him leaving the store with unpaid merchandise.

(customer is middle aged man. Shops there every day. Stole $62 in items ranging from food to toiletries. Call the cops.)

9:35 AM back into the loft
9:38 AM follow another customer
9:45 AM stop customer leaving the store.

(customers are a couple in their low twenties. not local. stole $132 in various items and paid for $10. Don't have cash for other items. Cop is still there from last call. Works on these two.)

And so it goes until 5pm...

For every 5 customers that are legit there is 1 that is stealing $50 average.

Try this for fun: When you walk out of Home Depot (after paying for your merchandise like a normal person) there is often an employee at the door who checks receipts. Just walk past them and ignore their pleas to stop. I do this all the time and have even had stupid nosey female customers chase me down telling me that I need to show a receipt if I want to leave the store. LOL!!!! I always have a fun time verbally bitch slapping those idiots and schooling them on the law. People are such sheep it amazes me. No way am I ever going to allow myself to be treated like a criminal after giving my business to a company.

My friend Billy does that shit on the regular when we go to Frys. I show my recipe and he doesn't. I then proceed to tell the person at the front door, "are are going to put up with that disrespect?" and I tell the whisper to the guy at the front door, "I think he has sticky fingers". "Those types are always putting things in their pockets"

Billy being Black and usually angry and annoyed with the stoppage at the front door, makes it that much more fun and entertaining.
