Well you got to think globally, and perhaps some pages need to be built that cater to the crap traffic of the industry. Use a good assortment of embeds and such and then just have china, india and the like go at it.

It would just have to be cordinated a bit to stay a step ahead of them with any blocking attempts.

I suspect that you are correct and I also suspect that they sell their traffic to what appears to be their only advertiser so it would just give them more traffic to sell.

Let me break it down you in a very simple fashion.

1. The viewers would never see nor visit megarotic.
2. The viewers would never see any of the attached advertisments.
3. The viewers would just be eating bandwidth and watching free no advertisment porn.

Well that would effect their traffic, then it would not be as hard to go after any and every company that processess for them.

If one is viewing from their site or using the embeds, as Jace suggested, you would appear to be wrong on all three counts. If one is viewing from a redirect like Smokey posted (which does not work for me at all) then why wouldn't they just block the referrer when it became apparent?

I was responding to how smokey was handling it and not Jace. Your PC doesnt work for smokies because you have allowed it to be hyjacked by another player, yet you could embed smokies and it would work fine for people like you.

Now if they can monitor and block any refferrer then surely they can monitor uploads now cant they? NM that is opening a can of legal worms. That is why I said it needs to be cordinated and kept in private and not on gfy itself. There would be a simple way to stay a step ahead of their ref blocking and chew through their bandwidth at the same time. I just am not going to post it here, specially with so many who protest so much about such sites and how we can never do anything about them. There are foxes in the hen house.

Yes it would effect their traffic but if it becomes a necessary offset for the cost of their bandwidth usage, wouldn't they do it? Why sould stopping free views make it any easier to go after the proccessors? They have processing now and their are so many processors that I seriously doubt that they will ever be unable to find a processor, particulary if there is a large amount of money to be made by the processors

I may be playing the "devils advocate" but I do not know what that has to do with any kind of protest.

My personal opinion is that this site and others like it will not be stopped by a hand full of Webmasters doing whatever they may be doing. My opinion is that untill such sites are required by law (world wide which I really do not see happening) to have 2257 proof and/or are required to somehow verify copyright's for each and every video posted to their site, and/or they are unable to find processors and/or are unable to find adequate advertising/affiliates, there is not any way to stop them.

But if it makes someone feel better attempting to stop them, have at it.

Amen to you... but this almost sounds like a get used to thieves living in your neighborhood argument. I prefer the let's do something about it tact.... but what to do to make it completely effective is the big question. Until then.. annoyances can work well.

thats strange , it works on stock default installs of both xp and vista..

what exactly happens when you play it ?

try right clicking it and save as , then play it..

( im just curious as to what non-default settings you have that would make it not work )

are you in firefox ?

On this computer I use windows 2000 pro and Explorer 6.0 is my browser. I will try it on another computer with xp.

does wmp load ?

does it say "no codec found"

It works in XP using Explorer 6 and Windows Media Player 11. Strange to me but maybe not to you,

Windows Media Player 11 opens It says trying to connect. After a few seconds it says encountered an unknown error. Works fine in XP Media Player 11 and Explorer 6.

and that would basically ruin their site. How many people are going to go to a torrent site that offers no free porn and then pay a membership fee. Hell they might as well signup to a porn site then.

Megarotic is not a torrent site and it is a porn site with more porn than most if not all paysites at a cheaper premium than the majority of paysites.
