The comedy of it is that when she came out it wasn't a shock to anyone other than her mom and dad, but even they admitted that they had their thoughts about it. Her brother even said, "I thought you came out a while back?" It took guts for her to do it even though all her friends and pretty much everyone else already knew or was pretty certain. So the joke is that now that she is out, we can get her gifts she can actually use.

She is going to think it is funny.
