Sounds like they just want a very clean promotion of their site, it could be part of their SEO or it could be a contract they made with the model since she apparently stopped doing hardcore.
They could be more diplomatic in their approach and you could be more diplomatic in your reply. It doesn't sound like either of you is important for each others business so I would probably just have moved on.
