40 miles is fucken FAR, that's like a road trip for me.
I already get burned out driving 10 miles. I hate driving. I don't even have energy to drive 2 blocks to go get food at the grocery store (5 min drive).
I would not drive 40 miles unless it was an emergency or for something which was absolutely required.
I don't drive a lot so 40 miles is A LOT of driving for me. And I'm not a fast driver, I go 65mph in the slow right lane and with traffic I know it would take me longer than an hour to get there. Plus I usually always get lost when driving far so I'm sure that would also add to the driving time.
I was thinking of taking some vocal lessons with this one particular teacher and it's 40 miles away from my house and I decided not to go through with it because I would get tired of driving there even though it's just once a week.
40 miles is FAR! I only have energy to drive to the bank and to the store. After that I go home and sleep, no more driving.
