Damn man, the price of plasma TVs in the US is just amazing!

For that price you couldn't even get a 21' here in Brazil.

A 42' Plasma over here is at least $3k.

I have a 37" Panasonic and I almost like it better than my 60 inch Sony. But now I may cry, those are all just over half the price what I paid a year ago.

Get the tilting mount.

We bought the Vizio 42" LCD HDTV (I wanted the 1920x1080 res.) at Costco.. yes price mattered.... but have to say, the picture is great.. no issues at all. I look at 23" Apple Cine screens all day and know about highlights and shadows and color and all that shit... nothing wrong with a nicely priced screen.

If your high priced plasma gives you a 5 or 10% nicer picture than I have (not likely.. we tested most of them), but you paid at least 50% or more for it.. is that really worth it??? Not for me.

I agree, however the price differance between a Vizio and say LG is only $200 so I did not want to take the risk..
