Science has as yet been incapable of proving or disproving a being who exists, by definition, outside of the laws of nature. It's like asking someone in a soundproof room if a conversation is occurring outside of that room.
My personal belief is that a powerful intelligence set the laws of the universe into motion, and has taken an inactive role since then.
