they've put some super chargers on the z06. hard to keep the back tires from spinning. takes the car up to 650 hp. I know a guy with a C5 that has 405 HP to the ground. very fast car.

Vettes are the most underrated sportscars in the world.

The design puts almost every other sports car in it's class and above to shame.

The power holds its own against virtually any other car.

I think the problem lies in we have just gotten too used to it. It was so affordable that every jerk and his mother were able to buy it so it stopped being something special. But it really is.

I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

I was truly surprised at the power my vette had when I first got it. I really had no idea the vette was a true muscle car. I just though the vette went around corners well, which it does.

best car I've ever driven. reliable, smooth, comfortable, roomy and fast as hell.

Supercharge it. I have a D1SC Pro Charger on my 01 Z06. Combined with long tube headers, bigger injectors, fuel pump, custom programming etc. we have it putting out 680 HP at the flywheel (579 RWHP at 6700 RPM).

I am sure my 01 is lacking when it comes to the technology of the vette in that article but there is no way its going to walk away from me.

The plus side is my upgrades were all for around 10k on top of the original price of the vette. That ZR1 is going to cost a bundle.

I was thinkin about this external twin turbo system for next year.. $8-9Gs in parts and a couple grand install

There's actually alot of really cheap mods you can do and get the car pushing almost 500 rwhp (headers, intake, programming) ... and still maintain daily drivability.

yes my lease is up in dec and I'm gonna buy the car and do 'some stuff to it' still need it very dependable with good gas millage. getting about 26 MPG on the road right now. don;t wanna fuck that up if I can help it.I figure to go for about 400-420 HP. the car is 350 right now stock

I've ALMOST hit 30mpg on a long roadtrip... I din't know if the gearing in my Z06 lends itself to better mileage or not.. but a 5.7L car with 405hp getting 30mpg.. sweeeet.

Whats the deal with Chevy pushing the Camaro back again. It says 2010 on that site now...pffff They had the perfect launching time with the Transformers movie....blew that. Then I was like okay atleast its next year....Time to buy an original and stop waiting....lol
