I solved same problem about month ago. I was used to run more sites and dedict each one to one or two sponsors years ago. But decided i cannot depend on limited number of sponsors any more, because there are many cheaters and thieves, check the list at

and much more programs are just going down because of bad marketing, owner suddenly decide to retrieve, robbered by fraudsters etc. I lost $700 because of such crashes just in November.
If you run many sites, especially blogs, you need to rewrite all your posts and remove bad links. 3 days work for each site i guess, imagine you run 20.
So i decided to take care on just one site but use as many sponsors as possible.
Yes, it is also riscy: Sites idea may fail, people would not like it. Because of many sponsors i will need much time to reach minimum, more of them will go down and i loose more money.
Future will show me if my plan was good or bad :-)
