Not really whining when someone tries to tax your biggest industry. Problem with financials is they can move, so if it's not a global tax things just move out of the EU. Less money for the UK means less money for EU.
And with the Euro the UK didn't join because the economy runs on a different cycle, same as Spain, that's why they're so fucked.
When Spain was booming, Germany/France weren't. SO the ECB kept rates low. The Spanish went $$ crazy, if they'd had control of their interest rates could have slowed the economy with rate hikes.
France is only sucking up cause they realise they're as fucked as everyone else, the elections there next year will be fun.
I'd love Spain to leave the euro, My income would go up about 30% overnight. Spain would become cheap again for living and manufacturing.
