She had degenerative bone cancer and lost the use of her lower back/back legs saturday night. We said if she ever got to where her quality of life diminished, we'd do the right thing and that was pretty much it. Since she's been going downhill the past 4 months we've taken her out for ice cream during that time. Poor thing was probably expecting a treat after the car ride rather than what she got.
6 years is a long time. Doesn't matter to me whether it was a ferret or a Rottie. I like animals more than people and am still hugely upset. I'd never been in the room for the injection before this weekend. Our other ferrets seem depressed.
