Not even close. Our weather here is some of the best in the world, while you have god awful humidity (summers are particularly unbearable) and more endings to "You know you're a redneck if......" than the rest of the south combined. Oh, and you don't have shit for surf unless a hurricane is close.
I own a house in Miami and only spend 2-3 months a year there only because the beach here is so much better.
