Personally, I think a phone should be a phone, period. It's ability to accomodate an extra large battery is what is important to me. All the other frills are just things that can go wrong and suck down the battery.

Actually it rocks. The iphone is 3.5" which is perfect for reading emails, checking stats, surfing espn etc. Allows me to spend more time out of the office. Just wish it had an icq function but I hear its coming with the second generation.

The iphone has less features than my previous Blackberry did yet the ease of use and screen is far superior. A Great phone.

Plus with the ipod included you can go on vacation or the gym and not have to bring two devices (phone and ipod). Very cool.

I can use any mp3 as my ringer and email mp3s. The best part is I have a Nintendo emulator with like a 1000 games =) lets see nokia do that =)

Theres several 3rd party IM clients, and its also pretty easy to put mp3 ringtones on it. Unless you installed the latest firmware on it, which breaks the support for now.. but I'm sure will be worked around quickly enough.

I was in the market for a new phone last week, even without putting a limit on the budget, I couldn't find a phone that had everything I need.
I can't believe the low standby times of many of those new "phones" ... not to mention the size of some of those.
I figured I don't need one that can read my emails with etc, because I sure as hell ain't gonna reply to mails with those tiny keyboards hehehe

So I said, fuck it, I'm just gonna get a replacement battery for my nokia 8850
it's pretty old, it's a phone without all the extra crap
but damnit, it looks so good
