Please, I need a GOOD blogger software that I can host on my server.

I'm using MZN, but the archiving thing is non-existant.

Can you point me to a decent blogging software I can use? I already have my own host.

The closer it looks like the Blogger engine, the best.

WordPress is used by a lot of people here myself included. I doubt it would have such a good reputation if it crashed because of high traffic. Maybe it's something else?

My vote goes for Wordpress too but I heard that new version of MovableType is free now and it's pretty good piece of software. There is also TextPattern, not bad but it has less features and plugins than WP or MovableType.

Wordpress all the way. I started a blog several months ago with Wordpress and had no problem merging the software to my domain. I've also used MovableType and they are probably the next best thing in blogging software. Good luck.

Can't you just use the Blogger engine and FTP it to your host? The Blogger engine has (or at least had) an FTP publishing feature for use with 3rd party hosting.

I've used Wordpress and many other platforms (Blogger, MovableType, etc..) and my conclusion was Wordpress is the best.

If your site is crashing you probably need to upgrade/switch servers, or optimize your database.
