Fling/HT: why isnt our traffic in your stats?

Emailed twice icqd as well: no reply, so maybe this will help.

Ive setup a test to see how Fling converts, send some 100 clicks on Aug 27th, tracked it with advertpro, I know how many clicks we send per hr approx so this kinda surprised me:

138 clicks counted on advertpro
2 clicks on hugetraffic

I thought maybe lagged so I waited for a few days but no still the same. Fyi our servers are in the US so this traffic should be shown on Aug 27th and not 9hrs later or so.

So: Fling, why isnt our traffic in your stats?

Ive got all the IPs and all dates times those are uniques so they are send, if we send to another program they show up exactly like in our advertpro, not at fling so Id really like to know yes

Are you a Nasty Dollars or Bang Bros affiliate? Any chance you could be using the linking codes from within those areas instead? I made that mistake when I went to check our Bang Bros stats a while back.

I had a similiar problem and was told that the link code I got was slightly off. Turned out the program variable was flipped to tracking hugetraffic instead of bangbros (where I originally signed up for fling). It did lead to all the traffic being mistracked.

were signed up through hugetraffic yes, dont have a bb account, but it should show up at hugetraffic shouldnt it. It does just a 100 less then weve send.

No, with the amount of programs out there... I personally think that the one thing a program needs to get right - right from day 1 is accurate click tracking. If a program can't get that right, well, I'm not interested in sending traffic. Looked promising, but i'm too busy to fuck around with e-mailing back and forth....

I like your program though - always sending traffic your way..

yeah its a shame stats are so off on Fling, were not gonna send traffic there anymore for sure, plus the no support kinda sucks imho.

bump for answer. just noticed mine as well.. although i dont send much traffic but dunno why clicks doesnt show since ive put links trough out my pages. weird

i only get 2 - 7 hits in my stats hehe free joins doesnt convert.

any other alternatives?

Make sure the html code your using came directly from the webmasters area, don't copy the code from someone else because they may have been sending traffic through nastydollars/bangbrosonline instead of hugetraffic.

Sending crap blind traffic is not the same as sending real banner/link clicked traffic.

Not that anyone expects you to know the difference.

On topic, I also noticed a drop in hits. For me it seems about half but I just restarted sending again 2 days ago after testing another dating site. Had to double check this morning to make sure I hadn't fucked up my link codes or something.

I believe Fling is only counting 2nd page hits but even then the ratios are pretty good. I make lots of money with them.

Maybe because they DON'T COUNT CLICKS CORRECTLY?

A 1:90 conversion means shit when the sponsor is only counting 5% of the traffic.

So, they show 5% from clicks and I have 1:50 and 1000$.
I drop them, I use xx sponsor, I get 100% clicks, 1:3000, 100$...
(just random numbers)

Anyway, hopefully, someone will come with some official answers...

Well, what's to say that they're only being dishonest with their click stats? When will it stop or does it stop at just the stats? Guess you'll never know - know things like - do they e-mail your surfer and get them to cross sell and wipe your recurring membership off? Will they change linking codes without telling you? Etc etc...

Symptoms are usually indicative of a much larger underlying problem. Not reporting true click stats is a symptom - I have no clue what they're up to, nor do I care - I decided that since i'm upfront and honest, I'd expect the sponsors I do business with to be the same. If you can sleep at night knowing your being fucked over and only being paid a portion of what your traffic is really worth, then that's cool, but I think I could do better with my traffic than by throwing half or more of it away..

this surprises you all? bangbros counts join page hits or some shit like that....I sent them 1k or so hits one day and 8 showed up in the admin.....all the same company aren't they?
