I think there's a huge difference going I3 up to I5 ... anyone know for sure? I kind of thought it was I3=celery and then I5 and I7=good cpus? It should not cost enough more that you will really feel it, and should be well worth it.
Save yourself the headache. Spend a little and pickup an i7 with 16GB of Memory and a sata3 hard disk. The extra money you spend today will be saved 10 times more in the time that you save. And since you will do projects in less time, you may be able to afford the time to explore other ways to be more creative, making you better at your craft, letting you charge more for the work that you do.

Is Acer and good though? I'm thinking of getting a Asus U56E-XR2. Because I'm using a netbook now and 2 hours to render a 3 min HD clip is frustrating.
