How many times a day?? RANT

I don't answer my home phone. Ever. I only respond to voice mails.

I don't own a home phone. I only have a line for my dsl.

i actually had to add another line for business purpose.
and so far i have not gotten any calls on that line.

very rarely anymore.

maybe once ./....

I usually get a couple a day....very annoying!

I do everything by cell

For me it's the surveys that bother the heck out of me. Answer one and I assure you, that you will get at least three calls for 15 minutes of your time per week asking you all kinds of questions.

I don't have home phone

The police / fire department call here atleast once a month asking for money. I always say no because I know its just going to lead to more calls. Then they call me the other day talking about how a 25 year cop and his 8 year old daughter were killed .. i still said no.. wish they would stop trying to guilt me

I have call display - but anyone calling from a center in Canada have a legal responsibility to remove my name when I ask them to do it. Do that a few times and I get no more calls from call centers. DONE.

i even asked them, well if i donated, will you take away those tickets i got? LOL

so i don't know.. i mean i do want to help those victims or whatever.. but when they are sharing my info with the other, it can be very annoying.

I get several of those calls a day, I just pick up the phone and then immediately hang up so I don't have to listen to the phone ring.

I don't even know what a phone looks like. I'm spearheading a campaign to get smoke signals implemented globally. It's the only guaranteed method of commmunication.

Once it gets ratified by the Congress, I'm taking it to the UN. Soon after, we're looking inter-planetary usage, and hopefully inter-galactic as well. It's all on the drawing board still, but I've got hope. And hope is all I need.

I get those calls all the time and I love fucking with them. I want to get a tape recorder so I can start taping them. It almost makes my day to get one and then play a trick on them. Most of the times they continue, but others have hung up. My new one is to pretend that the call has been directed to the police station because of a crime. I tell the operator that she is being tracked and if she hangs up we will pursue charges against her and the company for obstruction of justice....LOL!! It is so fucking funny I almost can't stop myself from busting up.

about 3 weeks ago I kept a telemarketer on the phone for 30 minutes.

He was trying to "give" me 200 dollars in gas and 500 in grocery coupons if I only give him my credit card number for verification of card ownership.

Funny stuff... I started off by telling him im against emissions so I wont be needing the gas card, he could keep it..

he suggested i give the card to a family member or friend. So i reiterated to him how much im AGAINST emissions... not that i dont drive, that Im against emissions. ( i drive a v8 )

I then keep making him think i want those grocery coupons, but he has to sell me on them...

through out the whole conversation I got him to admit he trys so hard because he gets commission plus pay. at one point i said..

"Wich is it, hourly pay or commission too? ... If its hourly ill keep you on the phone for awhile, if its commission, then we need to cut this short dont we?"

he beat around the bush so much saying things like

"no one works for free"

i got him finally admit his wages and commissions...

then he starte drecording me after i asked what company he works for...

I ended up hanging up on him twice because i just ran out of on the spot things to say ... I hadnt planned this call at all, it just spawned after months of these calls...

he called back both times i hung up..

I blamed the disconnection on my poodle running across my pay telephone ?!?!? (Thanks lance krall)

So after a bunch of bullshit and tom foolery, 30 minutes on the phone. and me raging against emissions. (I even at one point told him to shove the evil doing gas card up his ass) he finally wanted to move on

I blurted out, that all i want is to be taken off your call list, Ive askled for months.

he then tells me i have to tell them 7 times... So i said it 7 fuckin times... with a deeper explanation as to why i would like to be taken off... though i only said it 6 times, because i insisted on him counting one of the times i made the request some months prior.

when all was said and done...

he tells me...

"next time, dont waste so much of our time, have a nice day"

oh the irony...




this was all on speaker phone in front of the girlfriend and a buddy...

was great for a laugh..

Now i only get mortgage telemarketers ...
