    Spoofing another site's Alexa

    This is interesting:

    http://www.cyberporn.com/ has figured out a way to make the Alexa for that site actually show the Alexa for http://www.freeporn.com/

    Anyone know how they did that?

          no idea how its done, i actually have a domain when i put it in alexa, it shows another domain, no idea how to fix it.

          spoofing Pagerank I know how its done, not sure about alexa.

                  It's not "spoofing", you can request from their administrator to merge your site with your another site.

                  What happened in this case is that domain has been sold to another person, hence it differs from freeporn.com.

                      they owned by the same people? their mobile link goes to m.freeporn.com.

                      maybe their mobile redirect does to freeporn and alexa picked it up?

                              You can falsify alexa other ways that include tricking alexa themselves.

                              No point though really, alexa ranking accounts for fuck all.

                                          yes the top 100 sites in alexa are really small insignificant sites. no idea why they are there.
