Just got a used computer.. how did I do? Why is the Q9550 so expensive?

Shouldn't it be lower in price now with I7 and I7 second generation out on the shelves?
It's $300 on new egg and $350 on tiger

I just got the whole setup for $325

    Q9550 Quad 2.93 12mb cache
    4gb Kingston HyperX DDR2
256mb geforce or some shit (I don't give a FUCK about games)
    2 dvdrw
    2x500gb in raid0
Asus P5Q Deluxe mobo (I love Asus)
Windows 7 pro premium 64 bit
    Corsair 600w psu

I think I did pretty well for $325 .. it's all in a really nice case, too .. thing is fkn heavy

my last experience with newegg was horrible.

bought a case to build a new machine... it showed up broken. mailed it back (shipping was like $20) they shipped another, it too arrived cracked (the cases were clearly broken down front of unit) i returned it and complained about having to pay shipping cost on two items i didnt end up keeping and they did nothing.

        LOL

in the end I spernt $40 on cases and didnt even end up with any product, just footing the bill for shipping because they cant pack their cases properly. I couldnt justify doing it again, i mean the case only cost $100 and i spent 40 on nothing.

        hahah

no, I then made negative comments on the product page saying "beware, these units shipped multiple times to me and came cracked every time"

of course, the comment was not published to their site LOL

Thinking to buy this one custom made, it comes down to about 860 USD. Not sure about the motherboard though, i might get one without the video card and add a separate stand alone video card.

now that is sure, at least when you mean the Apollo computer. it was as smart as a pocket calculator and had like 4kb ram or something like that
