I haven't watched a porn movie or updated a porn site since last February. Its all shit. You could take the shit off of one porn site, post it on another porn site, and no-one could ever tell the fucking difference.
Porn used to be taboo and creative. Now - except for a very few exceptions - its mostly unwatchable, generic shit.

There obviously is the element of saturation and "taboo" of it being illegal. Still this should be encourage people to make scenes that are even more special and stand out. Not an excuse for turning it into tasteless pulp porn. Tasteless in it having no distinctive flavor. It's the restriction of budget that have done this.
Back to the real reason for dull porn and my old hobby horse.
When you pay $300 for an exclusive set and video in a market that that returns $3,000 for a non exclusive set only. You'll get people who can't get into the better paying market. It's like pay 5% rev share and expecting whales to send traffic.
Even if we were to shoot for this market, with our limited skills, what could we do? 5 scenes in one day would put us under a lot of pressure to get a good scene out. Lights have to be moved, models have to have a break, get changed, redo make up. Models and shooter get tired. No girl will climax 5 times in a day except with her new lover, under normal circumstances.
When the models have worked for people before who don't know what they're doing she builds the wrong idea of what's required. When clients are more interested in the quantity than the quality. We would end up shooting the same pulp porn that everyone else shoots. You can't make a silk purse from a sows ear.
As someone who worked in porn during the 70s, 80s, 90s,2000s I can tell you money is te big difference. No one knows if theirs more or less money in porn today than 10 or 20 years ago. We all have opinions based on judgement.
What is indisputable with online porn is the money is spread very thinly.
There are far more people trying to feed from the same trough. The people who got the short end of the stick were the producers.
And that's why porn in earlier days was better than porn today.
It has nothing to do with niches, theme, style and the stupidest excuse cameras. It's the over production and under funding f production.
Garce, girls in the 70s didn't act better than girls today. They actually got into the job.
