    ACER buys out GATEWAY

Just heard on the radio, now ACER is the # 3 manufacturer in the world behind HP and DELL.

Wonder if ACER will fix my flat screen gateway for under $5000 then, lol.
Hell I think I'll haul it to my dumpster.

I have been on my gateway desktop and laptop for a while now. But their stupid TV's they have no parts for at all, and they're defective. Not sure where the class action suit is at, or how Acer is going to deal with it.
At least I "bought" it with rewards points, but still it's one hell of an unrepairable paperweight.

I always thought the same thing until I bought a gateway. I haven't had one problem with it at all.

I have an alienware and it is a piece of shit. I had to send it back after 6 months because it fried. Since I've gotten it back the CD/DVD player doesn't work and it over heats.

I have had a Gateway desktop for 3 1/2 years now. No problems. Only reason I'm considering a new computer because I can't up grade the processor any more than what it is( P4 ). Of course I'm not necessarily tied to one brand. Gateway buy E-Machines and now Acer buys Gateway. Of course HP bought Compaq yet you still see both HPs and Compaqs being sold even though they are the same compnay.
