you are not counting the cost of the idea. most of the price of the iphone is composed of the $$$ that went into developing the iphone

I'm finally starting to get some of that through my thick skull. Just like the cost of the actual content is a small fraction of what a porn site needs to bring in. Why do our competitors charge ten times as much as we do? Development, marketing, regulatory compliance, taxes, etc. In Apple's case probably a lot of marketing cost, just like adult. With Android, software development is done at no cost to the manufacturer and the competitors are all promoting the same platform, so that should mean reduced costs and lower prices.For historical display only.
