Kings and Pharoahs and Emperors from 500+ years ago would have paid an enormous fortune to live the kind of life a middle class person lives today.

We can fly to the other end of the world in a day. People spend $200 million on a movie just to entertain us for 2 hours.
From a historical perspective our lifestyle is pretty awesome.

It's all relative. If human civilization survives another thousand years, imagine what life will be like... it's insane.

I don't think it's even possible to imagine life in 3007. If you were to ask someone from 1007 to describe life in 2007, they wouldn't have gotten anything meaningful right. The same is probably true for us.

Although I think it's pretty certain that movies like Total Recall and AI will one day be looked upon by the future in much the same way we read science fiction books written in the 1800's in awe over their forward thinking.
