Free tip: All major companies have £ set aside for 'compensation' to aggrieved customers. I have yet to get turned down when I directly ask for compensation for my loss of time (and with that, earnings), as well as the stress of having to deal with the error in the first place. Admittedly I've only asked 5 or 6 times, but nevertheless, they know straightaway that I know they'll give it to me, so to save hassle they just come straight out with an offer. Turn it down, or ask for more (eg Sky offers you 1 month free everything & 5 box office movies, ask for 3 months, and 10).
99% probability that if you turned the 100 down, and said you'd settle for 250, you would have got it.
But nice one anyway, remember it in future the next time a decent sized company fucks you about
