    Fucking hate November 5th

    It's about time the government here scrapped this ridiculous "celebration" we have here every year on this date called 'Guy Fawkes day'. Or as some know it 'Bonfire night'.

    I've hated it since i was a kid. Our dog at the time died on Nov 5th because it could here all the fireworks outside and had a heart attack. So i've hated it ever since. Our cat just now get terrified every year because of it aswell.

    The amount of animals which get killed or injured every year is just shocking.

    It's basically just a free for all for anyone who wants to be an asshole for the night. And there's plenty of them around. No doubt we'll be seeing on the news tomorrow the Fire Brigade coming under attack from teenage yobs and more horror stories from people.

      i like bonfire night better than any other night of the year even x-mas and birthdays i have come very close to loosing an eye or getting burned a few times on bonfire night but if you keep your dogs cats inside like we used to i dont see a problem

                              Well like i said, our dog was indoors, but they still hear it all outside, even with the tv etc turned up loud. I know loads of people who's dogs freak out this time of year...

                                      a friend of mine lives right across the road from a community center that sets off fireworks on certain holidays. my buddy's dog gets totally freaked, hides in the washroom and just shakes like crazy.
                                      you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..

                                                  In the states there pushing Halloween big time, and is expected to surpass Christmas one day....doubt it unless they do gift giving.

                                                                      We have Cheese Rolling over here too thats has been going on for over 200 years, no-one makes money from it and people get seriously hurt should we stop it untill there is found a way to cash in on it? How about the coronation and royal pagents? sponsorship on the crown?

                                                                      Britain, Europe and the old countries have traditions that stretch back hundreds and even thousands of years that havent relied on media marketing to keep them going
