                                                                                                          More like regular police don't want to tamper with evidence or expose themselves to a stinky carcinogen (formaldehyde) outside of a laboratory setting.

                                                                                                          The article also suggested everything else (organs, skulls, etc) were from non-human animals, for those that missed it.

                                                                                                                  Weird incident tho - sounds more like a Medical Examiner's office or autopsy suite, but bet the desciption given by the press is not exactly accurate.
