Is lame how everyone keeps complaining about people who are unhappy with an obviously sketchy contest as "whiners". I mean come on, some of amps answers to questions like "why were you having misamp post on gfy while you were logged on and actively participating in the contest?" are just met by "fuck you i dont owe you any explanations". SOMETHING was hoakey as hell about that contest, no _doubt_, even aside from the cheating. I dont think anyone gives a fuck about the prizes whatsoever, introducing them into the contest had nothing to do with why it was corrupt.

I didn't organize it. JPF did. I simply came up with the idea, and layed down the basic guidelines. From there it went into JPF's hands. Although, it never should have. It was intended to be a purely GFY contest from the beginning and my idea was commercialized and bastardized by hungry promo seekers. And now, here we are. Easy to point fingers at me isn't it? But I didn't see any of you stepping in to help answer ICQs and emails and thread questions.... did you? I have stayed out of this because I think its all got silly.
But everyone involved needs to look at the big picture. Pretty much everyone entered does design for a living I guess and I am sure that whether you came 1st or 15th there would have been extra work coming your way from the exposure and I think the general consensus was that they were all pretty damn good.
But then you go and ruin it by carrying on and I know that that more than anything would affect who I and I presume others might call on to do something, far more than if you were 1st, 4th or 25th.
So was everyone doing this for the HDTV or to get some extra business and make some cash?
To me you all have wasted the best piece of PR you will get this year.
