Actually, someone (maybe scientists) said that 2 planes would not have brought the towers down the way they did. That does not mean that they are right.
Damage to the buildings + high heat + long period of time + weakening of the steal + heavy weight = collapse. You don't need to be a scientist to see this but real scientists have already shown how it can happen.
