GFY Members In Toronto I Need Help!

I am moving to Vancouver in less than 2 months and am having trouble finding a car rental agency that rents vehicles for over 1 month.

I have tried Discount and Thrifty car rentals but the prices are pretty expensive. Could anyone recommend a company in Toronto that rents vehicles by the month and are somewhat affordable.

The reason I ask is because I am selling my current vehicle so I will not be stuck with it when I move.

    Thanks for you help!

rent-a-wreck should do that...but even better you can probably find a "Drive Away" where someone will pay you to drive a car out to Vancouver. The Star usually has listings in the classifieds section.

Actually I am flying to Vancouver. I just need a vehicle to get me around the next month or so in Toronto. I have a car rental waiting for me when I arrive in Vancouver.

      Thanks

When I blew a head gasket and I was commuting from Orangeville to Toronto daily ... I rented a Mazda 323 Hatchback from ABLE CAR RENTALS in Brampton (thing only had like 100Km on it too).... they were rather good price as well ... I rented it for 2 months

why don't you just ship your car by train - it may be cheaper than renting a car for a month or buying another one.

                JEEEEEEEEEEZZ!!!

Guys thanks for your help but you are not reading my message! I need a car to RENT in Toronto not in Vancouver. When I get to Vancouver I have a Ford Escape suv rental lined up for a few months and after that I will buy an Audi A4 or something like that.

I don't want a piece of shit car to buy. I just need a car to get around in Toronto with (preferable something new)... But I just don't want to pay $1500 to rent a car for one month.

                Thanks
                DH

Dh... call some dealers in the area... many of them down here will rent used cars for longer periods to get more out of its resale.

I honestly don't see why you can't buy a public transit pass. I think for $85 you can ride the bus/subway/street cars with 1 pass.
I know plenty of people (with decent jobs) living in Toronto & they don't bother with a car period.

Enterprise rents them by the month but it will be north of $1,000 by the time you buy the insurance. If you don't have that kind of money pick up a copy of the Toronto Star and in the Classifieds->Auto's section you'll find places that will rent you older model cars(early '90's) for about $99/week with insurance and kilometers included.
