Sooooo many minors working cams in the Philippines. What they do is, they open one account with a girl, then work many more girls through that same account. Only 1 ID is given. The PI studios do this on a mass scale. Looks like it finally bit them in the ass.

There is a general problem with the ID documents from the Philippines.
Many performers do not have Passports or Driver's Licenses -- just the postal ID cards that are commonly used for identification there. It is rare for a model to have two forms of government issued identification there and of course fake IDs are a commodity in abundant supply.
Most cam sites are being strict on ID to avoid any allegations of underage performers.Comment

We did this several months ago. We had substantial issues, namely when they'd sign up and submit ID, they would then try to pull a switch on us...and put girls on who werent even the girls in the ID...and at one point, I swear one girl was not even legal. Fortunately we caught it before she got any shows, but still. This "switch" game happened with EVERY PH studio. Not worth the risk at all to us. Sucks because they do have some beautiful girls there

This is a good move for MFC I think. We see the occasional suspect ID / model once in a while but what really creeps us out are people who want to have their own site, featuring only models from the Philippines, who get upset when we tell them the models have to be 18. One guy on the phone with me went on this rant, calling us "Puppets of the US Justice System". What a freak.Comment

See, this is why Filipinos dominate the Asian cam market: because there's less opportunity, and/or willingness, to 'sell ass' in other ways - like in bars or porn or prostitution - than in Thailand, which has ten times as many foreign (aka sex) tourists as the Philippines.
Ironically, unlike years ago when their passports were simple and handwritten (and cam sites didn't even insist on a passport as ID), these days Philippine passports are modern, machine readable and have a remarkable level of anti-counterfeiting.Though, if it's known their are ID issues from Philippines and MCF just gave them the boot, you have to wonder what the other cam networks are thinking.
Also ironically, given their entire economy basically depends on sending Filipinos abroad to work, the level of proof of identity when applying for a passport is absurdly high, perhaps due to the slack record-keeping otherwise and perhaps due to pressure from other countries, requiring multiple IDs (which themselves can be an enormous hassle to obtain) to establish a person is who they claim to be.
I'd certainly trust a Philippine passport before a Russian passport, it being an endemically corrupt Mafia State that leads the world in underage porn.
That issue has always existed. It's usually not because they're underage (I don't think Filipino bosses care about that one way or the other), rather than they just don't have a passport.
Because of the relative hassle to get a one, many people who should be entitled to a passport are denied one because they either lack other IDs needed, or their ID, or even birth certificate, has been filled out incorrectly due to incompetence.
As to one of them looking un-legal, they may well have been underage and TBH probably were, but Asians and Filipinos often do look younger than they are, and I know for a fact of a cam site rejecting someone in their 20s because the site claimed they looked underage on their (genuine) passport photograph.Comment

I snapped this screenie of one of the craziest things I've ever seen in a cam show. These girls had the room on FIRE! "legal reasons"?
It appears that myfreecams is trimming the fat as some models from the Philippines will be allowed to remain as part of their main page lineup, so I can't be sure what the real story is. It just appears as though myfreecams is cutting down their bandwidth consumption with the lower earning models and are using the Philippines as their target for where to start cutting. When their Miss myfreecams contest is taken into consideration (both one contest for main page, and one additional contest for the asian page) , added up, number one through ten, the dollar amount total is $2,700.00 in prizes. Eliminating Miss myfreecams "asian" from the equation saves them some money right there.
A model friend of mine in Romania copied over the announcement that models see when they log into their business accounts. I noted the legal problems don't seem to extend to the top asian models.

Unfortunately, effective October 31 2011, we are closing the Asian Homepage portion of MyFreeCams.com, which is where models from the Philippines broadcasted their webcams.
The top models that are shown on both the normal homepage and the Asian Homepage will continue to be shown on the normal homepage and they will have no change to their account.
The models that are shown only on the Asian Homepage will have their accounts closed at the end of the pay period on October 31 2011.
All models will be paid all of their earnings like always.
Even after the account have been closed, models will still be able to login and check their previous stats and change their payment information if needed to make sure that they are paid everything they are owed.
This immediate change was required for legal reasons and there was nothing we could do to avoid it. We are truly sorry. We cannot provide any more details.

Us, the West, are party responsible. We continue sending out this message to the rest of the world that having money is great, without wanting to share anything with them. Instead, we exploit them. So they get desperate, and some of them lose it and become violent. In the UK people have been convicted for producing animal crushing videos as well.
