Israeli Settlers Reroute Drinking Water From Palestinian Village for Swimming Pool

Israeli settlers from the settlement of Elon Moreh in the West Bank have cut a pipe taking drinking water to a Palestinian village and rerouted it into a swimming pool in a picnic area. The pool drain now flows to the village.

"They not only use water that doesn't belong to them, but they also pollute the drinking water of some of the village residents. The little kids pee in the water, which flows straight to the taps of the Palestinian school," said Yoel Marshak.

The settlers say that the water supply they cut was only a backup supply to the village and that the village also has access to water from the national water company. A demolition order has been issued for the pool and picnic area.

Israel is for all intents and purposes occupying a foreign country, and repressing the civilians in that country into desperate poverty. All the while, building massive settlements smack dab in the middle of the country that they're occupying. The United Nations has flat out declared that they've in gross violation of international law time and time again, but the USA continues to Veto any action being taken against Israel.

A logical person would expect putting people in such a situation is eventually going to lead to rather dramatic consequences.
