I read an article the other day that said that something like 70% of South Koreans under 30 think of dogs as pets rather than food, the practice of eating dogs is dying out.

thats fucking retarded, there are many other ways to reduce the amount of stray animals rather than feeding them to retards that think they gain "virility" or "spirituality" from eating dogs

but are they as useful? if someone wanted to eat the dogs and you have too many i think its the perfect solution. here in michigan if they have stray dogs that they cant adopt out they will just kill them, it would be much better to feed some poor people.

tons of obvious ways...........some being:
1. probably VERY expensive, but massively spading/nudering dogs
2. educating the younger generations about how animals have brains, nervous systems, hearts etc , same as us, they feel, maybe feel more sympathetic towards them......i've lived in 3rd world countries for the past 3 years, and notice a LOT of people (adults/kids) think and treat animals as if it were a stuffed toy, i've heard stories of families skinning, and tying up their pet dog, live, then roasting him alive, right in front of their young daughters, like it's nothing
3. another educational possibility, i've seen LOTS of houses/shacks use big tarps for their roofs, if a PETA or animal rights group could provide the tarps with little sayings on them or something, could help too
4. start a program where it is more systematic, and easy to register or take a dog off the streets and get him fixed the best he can and live with a family

i'm no professional, i've just thought of shit like this when i'm seeing so many stray dogs that cant see, walk or even barely eat, i feed them as often as possible, 50% of the time the animals cant even eat real food, or drink real water, it's so sad

oh, and i'm all for it if they were to kill them AT LEAST SOMEWHAT humanely, which i know they wouldnt, they slice their throats and let bleed to death, or skin and roast them alive, i've seen this before and heard many stories of this aswell

wow, you are trying to apply first world mentality to a third world situation. these people are starving and you are trying to tell them not to eat the food?

then why dont you start here, in america, and get our slaughterhouses to treat animals humanly first before spreading your agenda elsewhere.

i am not a rich person , but i can still feed all the stray animals that i can see...
my heart bleeds whenever i see newly born kitten thrown at the garbage.
at least....let these kitty be with their mother until they can able to find food for theirselves.
