Question about Webair Virtual hosting plan

I am thinking about hosting my blogs through webair. However, I remember seeing some deals they had going a while back for virtual hosting. I would like to know what kinds of promotions they are running lately besides the regular $19.99 Virtual hosting plan they have on their site.

If you have any promo links please post.

    Thanks!

Because you must go dedicated, even if it's not necessary?

Webair's virtual plan works okay for me. In my experience their virtual client support isn't the best, though. I'm not aware of any packages that aren't already listed on their site, but I do know that if you sign up for their cheapest package (and choose annual billing) it's half-price. (Good if just starting out, or if you don't push a lot of traffic.)

You can upgrade your plan as you grow. Don't go dedicated right away unless you have to. No need to drive a bus when a car will suffice.

LOL - trust me, get a dedicated. I've had both with Webair and the saved headaches from random downtime and speed of your server are soooo worth the extra money every month.

For blogs? Webair virtual is a fantastic choice.

Do it. Any package should be good enough for you.
I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

            Webair, bitches.

I host most of the blogs I update on one single Webair virtual account.

I keep the forums on a dedicated, but the blogs and static sites are fine on a virtual box as long as you don't have 10.000 hits a day

What he said. Just remember, when the shit hit the fan with Webair's network not so long ago, all the Webair resellers and sigwhores fucked off faster than their network did...

Dedicated servers are so cheap there is no reason NOT to get a dedicated. Why would you put your sites on a server with lots of other people and be at the mercy of their poorly coded scripts? You'll end up on an overloaded web server, overloaded mysql server and your sites will suffer unnecessary downtime. That is a fact of virtual hosting.

                          fair weather friends....everyone has them

as far as I'm concerned Webair is an excellent host, one of the top 5 in the business...& have always taken care of me & my projects, I'm hosting many thousands of dollar per period with them & feel quite comfortable

as far as virtual hosting goes, if you're looking to have your sites in a mission critical environment (i.e. cannot have downtime for 1 second) then you definitely do not want to go with virtual hosting (ANYWHERE)

dozens if not hundreds of users per box....1 script fucks up & the whole thing could possibly go down (theoretically)

ask your sponsor for a server if you haven't allocated a $99 dedicated server into the finance section of your business model

I was speaking more from a standpoint of just starting out. If you have the money to spend on dedicated, then by all means do. That way you don't have to worry about someone fuckin up your box, but I assume most people like to test the water first. True that most, if not all, virtual plans will have downtime...but some have such a small amount that, to me, it really doesn't matter unless you're pushing a hefty amount of traffic.

So far I haven't had any downtime with Webair, but I've only been with them for about a month now, so take my opinion of them lightly.

Webair advertises 99% uptime even with their virtual plans. I know I wouldn't pay more money for a bigger setup to a host who couldn't keep their promise with a smaller plan.
