some nice beaches and hot babes, make sure you go to (i believe its called) plaza bolivar at night and see this dance troup called "candela viva" about 20 or so dancers and live musicians...amazing. some of the girls in the group are stunning.
The beach there is ehhhhh, but you can hop over to the Rosario Islands which is near by. MUCH better. The beaches on land are pretty disappointing, though there is plenty of hot tail to be found there.
If it's still open, La Dulce Vida (expensive whores), is where the best looking hookers are, though if you don't mind some local grit, head off with the locals to the locals whore houses.
The old city is charming. Very cool place, just avoid the little glue sniffing kids.
Lots to do there, just wonder about and STAY AWAY from a guy named Oscar Florez. Trust me. He's a fucking DIRT BAG. He tried to have me killed, machine guns, bullets, the whole nine. Bad news.
If you party, you'll never touch the crap in your country again. You're now getting it at the source.

This is in the heart of the old city. At night is just wonderful there. Great dining too.
Lots of beggars there and people who bother you while you eat. I usually pay one of the guards some pesos to keep people away from me so we're not disturbed.
Take the horse drawn buggies around, jump on the party bus. Good times down there.
Thanks a lot, guys - Haven't been out of US since living in Costa Rica, so really excited to get back in the saddle. Booked a nice little apartment in Laguito.
I'll be there during Semana Santa, were either of you there, then? I think it'll be really busy.
I've been doing some reading about the old town, plaza, outer-island beachs- all looks great. Also that bus tour.. I'm a little older, have some game, and usually fly solo.. but i keep reading how fun that Chivas tour is, might just try it.

Enjoy!
you got that right, hell almost anywhere in south america the stuff is insane, but Colombia/Bolivia is the shite! i met dudes who only went to colombia to do that for a month...a waste if you ask me, but i guess its a good way to get it out of your system.
of course now in bolivia they actually have bars with menus of different flavors...route 39 i believe is one of them.

!
Amazing place... some "islands" are just sand spots ... bring a lot of lotion ...
I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !
But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

I've read a ton about the beggars, and touts selling stuff. Apparently you have be very firm with them.. but tipping a guard is also an interesting approach...
Not true- subtype E is so scary. When the girls test positive, the bars wont accept them anymore so they work in malls... its everywhere. When I lived there I was terrified. Several of my co-workers had it (non adult biz).

Cartagena will be packed at this time and price will be double; but it will be fun. If you need anything hit me up.. I live in Cali but we have an office in Cartagena..
Funny, this thread is over a year and half old, but I noticed the thread starter had a few follow up threads to his trip and some things didn't work out for him.
