my parents grow just about any vegetable and fruit you can think of but even when I buy from the market the fruits and veggies have good taste - basically the more backward the country you live in the better they taste lolComment

Love homegrown tomatoes!
This year we have a few new varieties we had never tried before. We have purple tomatoes.. (not impressed with them myself but wife likes them) we also have tomatoes that are ripe while they are green. They do have a good flavor but eating them green does not seem right.
We almost always have a garden, can't say it saves us a dime, in fact I am 100% sure it costs more to grow it than to go buy the stuff but the flavor just can't be beat. Another new item in the garden this year was Red Sweet corn... OMG that stuff is great and will be planted next year too.DanL
