Will President Obama get his job bill passed?

Will President Obama get his job bill passed?

...or will Boner the Tan Man and the rest of the pricks in congress continue to jeopardize the economy just to keep Barrack a 1-termer?

        DOA

It didn't make it on the first run through the senate.

Not if the Republicans can't come up with someone to put up against him.

Jobs bill has next to no chance of making it though. They might be able to break it up into pieces and get some of it through as, but as a whole it is DOA and he likely knew that when he submitted it.

As for his being a 1 term president. . . I think he wins a second term. It will be close, but I think he can beat any of the republicans currently in the field.

The SENATE, controlled by Democrats, wouldn't even pass it.
For ninety years straight the Democrats held rep. Weiner's seat in congress. Last month, those democrat voters replaced him with a republican and the switch was led by democrat former mayor Ed Koch rebelling against the Obama and Pelosi fail. It's not even about the republicans anymore - the Democrats are running away from Obama because he's become the failblog poster boy.

It's as bad or worse than 2008 when the Republicans knew they had to get away from Bush because he was a bad pick and everyone knew it. Obama still has a few hardcore defenders who haven't been able to admit they picked a fail, but the leading democrats don't want to be known for bankrupting the country trying the same trillion dollar waste package for a third time.

The republicans can't allow it to pass, the dems are gigantic pussies. You do the math.

It's probably win-win. If they pass it and things get better, he wins, if they don't pass it he uses it as a weapon against them, he wins.

It is a gamble that the republicans played. The minute Obama took office they became the party of no. They said no to pretty much everything he did in an effort to make him fail so that they could take back the white house. The problem is since they took power of the house earlier this year they have still done nothing but but tell him no and while they ran on the mantra of "jobs, jobs, jobs," they have done nothing to help create jobs. So while they were effective in making Obama look bad, the problem was they failed to offer any real alternative and now they have no real viable candidate to run against him. Suddenly it is starting to look like Obama might be able to play the republican "No" stance against them.

Add into the mix, like you say, if the republicans actually pass some of his bills and they help make things better it is a sure fire loss for them so now they have dug themselves into a whole that they can't get out of.
