Carolina was mainly set up by Dutch immigrants and in Dutch Carolina means "kiss me dog". In Holland sex with animals was forbidden but there was this sub-Catholic group that believes that sex with animals makes you immortal so they immigrated to the USA and built Carolina. Then after 60 years there was this group that preferred sex with dogs, they moved to the north and there was this group that preferred sex with horses, they moved to the south. So that's how North and South Carolina were formed.
