Yes you're right. I spent $400 on the model, $200 to $400 on the film, $150 on make up, was always buying new outfits for the girls. Plus all the lights, some $600 a head. We had a dozen. Plus furniture. so I could fuck the models. This goes for me and all other professionals.
What you don't see is that most professionals have a charm about them that often works. My one is the teasing, flirting joker. Got me into girls knickers more often than a camera did. And cheaper.
The casting couch mentality DOES NOT exist in porn. Well maybe at your end. At my end we spent thousands to get good models looking great to sell for many thousands more. Anything that got in between us and that goal was not ever done. Yes we slept with models, more often we just had sex with them. But NEVER at the expense of the work. It was stupid and a hooker was cheaper.
