On a side note: I have a few people checking into how many of these sites (and which ones) have stolen Shane's World content. I'll forward you guys a copy of the list and all the info pertaining to them so you can take steps to have it removed. This is by no means a solution to the problem at hand, but it's a good place to start...

just like its ethically unacceptable and morally wrong to profit from stolen property, its ethically unacceptable to profit and knowingly support the theft of content through financed piracy. doesn't matter if someone stole your neighbors t.v. and gave it to you to sell for a profit, you're still involved.

You know, at first I wasn't going to publish the address because I didn't want to feed the surfers, but I have taken the time to think about it and have reconsidered. The site is xxmovies.info and I HIGHLY urge all content owners and program owners to make sure none of their content is listed there. I would LOVE to see this site shut down or DMCA'd into closure.

ok, lets cry again and again ... but what about some really small generated watermark with username on every media file he clicked? if it will be on every file, you can easy bann the user and let other webmasters know that hes the publisher so he will not signup anywhere again. that will take few weeks/months to extract the bad boys, but you can beat the reposters much better than now ... i know, thats so much work, crying is much easier ... those are with big respect to everyone just my ;)

The vids on that site are not being uploaded by an affiliate, so watermarking the files wouldn't apply here. These vids are usually ripped from a members area (by a surfer), uploaded to one of the filesharing sites (like RS and Megarotic) and the info and location is then posted on a site like this so other surfers can watch the content without having to pay for a membership.

That is why there is nothing you can do to get the site shut down. You can send a DMCA to Rapidshare, and they are usually pretty good about removing content, but a site that provides links is technically doing nothing wrong...

just something more ... there can be many ways what watermark, any signs etc, so you can prove who share the content and i think there are not so many people sharing what they paid for anyway those are the most important people for you, and if you will kick them out of your members area, there will be still less thiefs so less communities will have the stuff so less people will have it for free ;)

Ok, the last few days have been a crazy whirlwind. Hundreds of ICQs, many many phone calls.

Now, with that said. This has already progressed beyond something that is ME/Shane's World oriented. I have the interest of many people/studios here in Porn Valley U.S.A. that are taking a major hit from the ongoing piracy across the world wide web. People who I thought would never talk to me about this. As this is a global issue and not that of California based producers, we will arrange a method for content producers and others that wish to contribute to be a part of the efforts of the association.

Shane's World will be making the first contribution to the entire effort by securing and donating the facility to have the round table discussion.

We will have Marie Callanders PIE. Cookies will be available for those who don't like. A la picnic style we would like to encourage people to bring anything that they would like to. This is a community based meeting.

This is the first in a series of discussions and structuring that will take place in a very short period of time.

The piracy defense association is a transparent, not for profit association. The books will be published for the public online and distributed to the associations members. A board will ultimately consist of members from within the industry who have a skin stake. Predominantly content producers and major studios supported by hand selected and qualified, respected members of the community.

This is a start.

To be effective we feel strongly that this must be a grass roots association, completely not for profit and handled withing the arena of those that are hit the hardest by piracy, meaning the content producers, studios, a license holders. The association is not a watchdog group. We've had enough of those. The association will actively pursue and return money to the arena that it was removed from. Not everyone is going to like the fact that this is not a money making venture. That's too bad.

The support that has been received so far is monumental. I am not going to get into any of the support offers or monetary offerings at this time because I don't want to jeopardize anything that is in process.

We feel that the only way this can work is if we do what other organizations have not done and show transparency. This is the communities association and no one else's, comprised solely of the community and it's counsels.

We encourage people to support a transparent, not for profit association comprised of content producers, studios, and license holders.

Why can't they do both? Most companies if not ALL of them probably do actively try to find solutions to limiting the way their content is used. In addition to that, it's a good idea to create awareness of the issue and getting involved in discussions about it with others who may have interesting ideas on handling the issue.

Why do you want them to stop talking about it? This is a discussion forum. That's what people do.
