I had to jump back in to answer this question, because I LOVE sharing these tools with people! My best twitter clients:
Tweetdeck: A Desktop client that is so robust, it may seem overwhelming at first. You can manage multiple accounts, follow trends, @ replies, DMs, etc.. You can even plug in your facebook, myspace, linked in and others. A truly brilliant desktop app that keeps improving. There is an iphone version as well, but it's not as great (IMHO).
Twittelator Pro (iphone): This is definitely an app for power users. Not only can you ping multiple accounts and your facebook at the same time, but you can bookmark your favorite people, MUTE ANNOYING PEOPLE without unfollowing them, automatically participate in trending topics, shorten urls and tweets on the fly, switch easily between geotagging, save tweets, plug in your favorite "read it later" programs, and a whole bunch of other shit that I can't list here due to needing to catch a flight, soon. Anyhow. The app will run you $5 (USD), but I think it's totally worth it. If you AREN'T a "power user" of twitter, I'd suggest that you just stick with
Twitter for iphone.
