    epassporte - I told you so?

    I said over 2 months ago that the shit is going to hit the fan with them, and look at all the complaints since?

    hrm, does pimpdog see into the future?

    stay away from epass. Epic dropped them as a payment option to affiliates, sorry, but I wont risk my money or my affiliates money becuase of their misleading posts, emails and claims.

                      Some were frozen because they recived stolen money, some because they were inactive, and a few bitch about the site being down for a upgrade.

                      Epass is not a bank, its a processor. People should not keep large amount of money in the account. And when they have a problem, they should try and fix it before comming here and start shit.

                      I have had Epass for a long time, and not once - NEVER had a single problem. Neither have any designer, programmer, host or partner I have worked with. I always use Epass for small amounts and Bank-wire for large.

                      You may have had a problem with Epass for some reason, and that is how business is sometimes. But that dont mean they are bad people.


                      Someone should try and count how many have lost money on checks and compare them to Epass. I bet you Epass would come out as the safest choise.

                                      yes some arecomplete idiots. my beef with them is that they claim they are not involved in gaming/gambling sites when infact they are currently processing for gaming/gambling sites putting american webmasters/businesses at risk

                                              Actually I begn my epass nightmare last week after sensibly staying as far from these people as possible.
                                              I loaded money to the account had money sent to the account and did not spend. My first purchase not only did these people deny the purchase saying the credit card number was invalid but also placed the amount on hold....omg. Well then they tell me if I get the fax umber and a signed letter from the supervisor of the organization that attempted this charge and the authorization number they can release the funds, otherwise of course they will hold them for 31 days to be sure the merchant did not try and honor the charge. But no worries I would get my funds back...someday.
                                              Ok so I figure they are pretty worthless and I go to get my money out...hmmm. WAIT. I paid for a card but I am told I can not get my money out until I confirm a second method to put money into a place I have no intention of ever again having anything to do with.
                                              Ok....hmmm so I insert my bank info and then get a message saying oh....now check your bank statement in about 7 days and tell us how much we put in there and THEN we will let you have some of your funds...oops?
                                              Well not to be deterred by these uhhh business people I go to paypal insert my info in and try and withdraw my money that way eager to be rid of these people for good and all since all they seem to do is to "hold" your money. Oops hey do not do business with paypal.
                                              Well....nice. So I am stuck with epass funds I can't use as they were intended to be used.
                                              I then spent an hour on the phone with a Customer Service Rep who said ....well some places won't accept our visa.
                                              Me: Which places?
                                              Him: Well we don't have an exact list.
                                              Me: So where do you people plan to allow me to spend my funds?
                                              Him: Anyplace that accepts epass.
                                              Me: Umm but the last place I tried, YOU told the merchant my card was not valid and put the funds on hold. Will this also happen every time I go to a merchant who does not accept epass?
                                              Him: Well, I don't know.
                                              Me: How do you suggest I spend my funds, with whom am I allowed to spend them since there are apparently a number of places that don't honor your visa card (which the sign up page clearly states it is visa and can be used anywhere)
                                              Him: I dunno.
                                              Just lovely.

                                                                  I know a lot of the problems have to do with people having to go through the verification process. If they just had some sort of warning that said

                                                                  If you change this or perform this action you will be locked out of your account and not have the ability to withdraw or receive money until we drag you through the hot coals which is our verification process.
                                                                  They should have just been verifying accounts from the start. Ever since I verified with them I've had 0 problems, its going on 6 months.

                                                                      Good point. Epic checks cash fine, but that isn't right now $ upfront when you're putting some deal together.

                                                                      Traffic, simple design work and a bunch of other stuff just plain needs something universal like Epassporte. I haven't had any problems with 'em. So no bitch here.

                                                                          One of the biggest issues that we have with them, is simply that they process for online gambeling, and in the US that is illegal.

                                                                          If they Feds Freeze thier funds, EPIC Cash affiliates will STILL get paid, because we dumped them.

                                                                                  Trey is such a good guy and cares so much about the rep of Epic that he would cover a screw up by Epassporte. His right to reduce his risks as he sees 'em. Maybe he has a few less affiliates for not paying via Epassporte????? Does it really make a difference to anyone?

                                                                                  Guess I'd prefer sponsors that only pay once a month to make it atleast every two weeks.

                                                                                      my bank charges me $12.00 per check, epassporte must have saved me a few k in the past two years, not to mention that I get my money three times faster, checks don't "get lost" and so on

                                                                                      why the fuck do people use their epassporte cards to make purchases is beyond me - don't guys have credit cards, debit cards, cash????

                                                                                                  First of all, its to expensive to have lost of small transactions, and then you have the issue of not all shops accepting the card. In Europe you will have problems in the a large amount of shops since the card is issued from a Oversea company.

However may I please point out this is NOT what epass claims on their site. They do not claim to be a mere processor honored in few places and rejected by many. They do not state they will take your money and keep it and refuse to allow you to withdraw OR use it. Nowhere is that said.

                                                                                                                      Instead this is their sign up page:

Nowhere does it tell you that you will pay for a card and not be permitted access to it under any terms until you provide more information than the bank requires for a personal loan..
                                                                                                                      So if someone wants to call me an idiot for not recognizing a scam that flat out lies, fine. However based on the fact sponsors offered it and other people used it I fell for it. All I want is away from these "people".
