    I agree with the top ten sites being reviewed by the judges idea.

    Going to be tough competion nonetheless.
    There is some very complex graphic work and intracate designs to choose from. Our industry sure does hold some gems of talent!

                    I got through 5 sites, the 6th has been loading forever (Im on a DSL line). Out of the 5 tours, 4 of them had broken links all over the place... I give up. I didn't pace my week right so I didn't have a chance to submit my site, but to everyone that did - Good luck!

                                    mafia site does kick ass, but would have been better for snow to do a site that isnt mafia because people will simply vote because to ass suck, but suppose we will never know if that design would have done good on its own merits.

                                        First time I went thru and voted half the sites were 404. Tried to view now with IE and it said I already voted. So I opened up NS and can view it right. Just a thought though, there's too much room for cheating.

                                        I agree with the above poster, mafia should be excluded for not following the rules - sorry.

                                                        A couple issues for the AssClowns up in the cheap seats...

                                                        1. Snow DID NOT design that site, as far as I know snow hires out all of his graphic design work.

                                                        2. No rules were broken as far as the mafiaporn site because the client likes the logo and wanted to keep it for brand recognition. Happens sometimes when you do real design work. And the design in the contest was created this week as well.

                                                        I can also assure you that the mafiaporn site that is on mafiaporn.com and the one in the contest are not created by the same person.

                                                                    I was trying to be as fair as possible and felt a rule was broken. It doesn't matter, I voted once and I have nothing more to add about that.

                                                                    Apart from this, well done on all the designs. Wish I had the skill to create such wonderful work.

                                                                                                    I put off a job or two to squeeze this tour in, I wish I would have known we could use a current clients work as the entrance piece.

                                                                                                            If they do this regularly, yearly or whatever, at least I can hope I'll improve for next time

You would think that with the prizes being offered there would be no funny business...if someone wasn't happy it could be ugly! The legalities would keep me from ever running a contest with prizes like this. There would have to be verifiable complete impartiality or, like I said, it could be horribly ugly when it came time to disburse prizes.

                                                                                                                        As for me...I did this 'cuz I wanted something new in my portfolio Everyone did a fantastic job...there's some real showpieces posted there

                                                                                                                            its natural to suspect that some designers could be cheating on this contest. i'd suggest logging ip addresses rather that just relying on cookies.

                                                                                                                            as for a few of the designs... well, its blatantly obvious who designed them. there is one amazing unique site in there though... the only one that i gave a 9 to (my highest rating)

                                                                                                                                                There are tons of big name sites out there with tons of content, the best designs etc etc that convert at 1:3000

                                                                                                                                                Simple effective designs that sell are as important as all the glitz and polish that does not sell

                                                                                                                                                Anyway, I looked at all the sites once and then went back and voted

                                                                                                                                                some of the sites I gave 2,3,4 points the better ones I gave 4,5,6 I think one got a seven, and one got a ten (and it wasn't mafia porn -although a nice loooking graphics package)

I got thru Site 1, Site 2's tour pages timed out, refreshing sent me to site 1 again and now it says Ive voted on that one and it won't move me forward to Site 2 again.

                                                                                                                                                                                            The voting places a cookie on your computer so it keeps track of what sites you have voted on. If you recieve an error like I did, many many times, just close the browser and click the link to start voting again. So even if it errors every time you vote and it tries to take you to the next design you will eventually get through them all.
