A few years ago there was a trend where girls were selling their services on ebay as "internet" girlfriends. The highest bidder got some emails from them and some text messages as well as a handful of pictures. If you sent her a t-shirt of yours she would even take a pic of herself in it and send it back with a sexy message like "stole your shirt for my trip and wore it to bed tonight."
The cover was that she worked hard and traveled a lot for her job so you basically had a long distance relationship. After a few months she would be annoying and you would dump her so you came off like the cool guy who had to dump the hot girl.
