I don't see how that is a shock. After all, look at the number of women that drool over people like Orlando Bloom and and 'boyish men' like that. When I was younger I was more attracted to men that had fairly feminine eyes, etc.

Even now I really get turned off by ultra macho men and will go for the geek every time.

Plus I think it's fair, because for centuries women have been looking after themselves, trying to be more attractive, trying to be up to date in fashion and looks... Why shouldn't men do the same thing?

For example in the 20th-21st centuries men started to look after their bodies, working our in the gyms, tracking their meals. A lot of men are doing these things now. Why not add the other things to our armory? Why not taking care of skin, haircut, nails? Not too much of course, but they can be neat and good looking.

And one more example - in medieval times men took bath once a month. Shall we do the same thing nowadays? I doubt...

So it's just evolution, progress... however you call it

it's just cyclical - people's views of what is attractive in the opposite sex changes. when i was young I could never imagine that short hair would ever be cool and bald - hahaha - that used to be a horrible fate for a guy and they'd wear horrible rugs on their head. 20 years ago the masculine hairy look was what men and women wanted - Burt Reynolds, Tom Selleck, Sean Connery etc - guys with open shirts with a mat of black curly hair on their chest. women weren't gagging in horror - that was hot.

and now we are in the feminine looking guy stage - seems to be sticking around for a long time but believe me like everything else it will change again.

i hate body hair - i really do - if that laser shit was fast i'd be all over it.

The "norm" for human cultures is for the male to have as many wives as he can support. Its a natural fact! Look at any living organism. The males mate with as many females as possible to reproduce. It is only the strong influence of christianity that prohibits this. Left to nature a man should have as many "wives" as he is able to "support for" and "fight for".

Whats far more complexing is that even in the bible many of the heros had multiple wives. Yet today?

There ARE women out there who make their OWN money and even OUTEARN their husbands/boyfriends. Some women do not WANT a man to support them. I'm from Chicago but live in Scottsdale now. In Chicago, "good looking" macho guys get the most attention from women. In Scottsdale, "good looking" metro and bi-sexual wimpy guys get the most attention from women. Quite a contrast.
