    Israel vs Turkey - showdown?

Now that Egypt is not 'in play', is Turkey playing for position as dominant in middle east by this latest move against Israel?

    What will happen next?

Is anyone surprised that a Muslim country shows it true colors?

Not if giving up North Cyprus is a prerequisite.

Somebody needs to keep Israel in check when they flagrantly flout international law.

North Cyprus doesn't belong to Turkey to begin with.

Also your comment about international law is like the pot calling the kettle black.

Sorry, I'm not saying Israel is a saint here, but their citizens intentionally attempted to violate a blockade. When you get that point, you can't blame Israel for anything they do.

Doesn't matter if Turkey owns Cyprus or not, they have bases there.

And I wouldn't defend the UK either. I'm not one of those that think Israel shouldn't exist or that killing Israelis is fair game.

If they want peace in the region they should should stop their illegal settlements and retreat to the 1967 borders. If there were subsequent attacks on Israel after that, they'd have the support of the permanent UN security council to defend themselves.

Except Israel doesn't want peace because then the American trust fund would run dry and they wouldn't be allowed to push the Palestinians into Jordan.
