Anyone know Hanoi?

I'm being treated to a trip for my birthday by my amazing lady friend. And it looks likely on the actual birthday we'll be flying into Hanoi.

So, I need a nice hotel for the night and restaurant as it'll be my bloody 40th! We'll be heading off to other places in the morning.

Any recommendations?

Nice present! I can't give you any advice but we're planning to go to Vietnam in the coming years as well, it's supposed to be beautiful there.

I was there for only 2 nights....

They are masters of the cross sale - they should be in porn.

You think you are paying a very good price for a hotel until the bill comes and you find that it came with a girl that costs a fortune. I thought she was a chamber maid or something and asked her to leave but was still billed. Had I known I would kept her as a tour guide or something (I'm gay, so she was not much use for anything else).

Pay for everything in advance....

Try to stay in the Old Quarter, stayed in a hostel there last year. Great area imo.

Yes, it's definitely happening. I just will be getting into Hanoi quite late, and need one room for one night before getting the hell out of there to see the country!
