This is the wrong way to do it. The affiliate who sends the most sales is the one who LEAST needs the $100. Competitions like this don't encourage the average webmaster at all.

If you want to look at it that way i guess but you can also look at it as a great way to start making some recurring money with karups and a great way to do a test drive. On top of the sales you will make and the money that will continue to come in, you will also get $100. A little incentive to try us out is all.

Did that happen while you were tyring to sign up as an affiliate or trying to log in?

$100 isn't much of a reward. Better contest would be $100 bonus for any new affiliate that sends more then X amount of sells during a set period.

Thats why Epic usually does random of the people that make sales. Usually, or at least lately, they have been random. I dont agree with giving everything to the guy that makes the most sales. If he is making that man, he ususlly already HAS the item.

This is for the new affiliates that maybe arent sending a lot of traffic or not making it promoting other sites. If the new guys can send 100 joins great! Or if you other big boys want you can earn an extra $5 per signup if you can send at least 100 new signups in any given monthly pay period. That's less than 1 sale per site per day send 500 signups in a month and you'll get an extra $2,500 that month.

We want to work with everyone and while we appreciate the guys that send us a lot of sales we also want the new guys who maybe could use an extra $100 and incentive to set up some links.

btw, want to get new affiliates? give them free money, but less than your minimum payout, just for signing up

so, if your minimum payout is $200, give them $50 for free just for signing up, then they have to make a few sales to get that $50

Actually that is something I am going to do as well. Also we are going to be working on a promo for exsisting affiliates.

Hi Guys I just wanted to jump in and clear few thing up. Belinda came to me looking for a promo she could run to get some new guys to try us. As many of you know we have been around a long time and have only offered 2 or 3 promotions in all these years. Our long time in this industry combined with knowing many of the big guys before they were big has carried us a long way. Since we have not had a huge amount of experience in running promotions we took a stab at this idea.

We are geared towards the long term webmaster and offer several incentives for larger guys like the extra $5 a join if you can send 100 or more joins a month. This promo was actually geared towards the smaller guy in that he only has to send more then the others that join up this week. We are only expecting a few people to go for the promo so your odds of being the largest are like 1 in 30 or 1 in 40 lets say at most. As a fan of vegas I would take a 1 in 40 shot any day especially if i knew I had any sort of real traffic. Lets say you only send 10 joins a reasonable number to win thats an extra $10 a join for the week.

For the people that try it and don't win well its not like you loose. Yoacu still get paid 60% on new and recurring joins as well as a shot to hit the larger bonuses don't he road as your traffic to us grows.

Hope that clears it up and some of you find it as a useful thoughtful promotion. If you do not see it as useful then it would be appreciated if you moved on instead or as some of you have done suggest other promos we could run in the future.

As for the server issues that is most likely caused by the fact the affiliate program requires approval and activation of your account. We check all affiliates before allowing them to send traffic to weed out many unwanted webmasters that wold just dilute the program. If your account is not activated and you try to login it will generate an error. I will look into replacing the generic error with one suited to the cause since it has caused an issue for a few of you thank you for bringing this to my attention.

any chance you all will be releasing tools for bloggers? rss, etc?
